Welcome to the Cumberland Youth Baseball Softball League

The Cumberland Youth Baseball/Softball League (CYBSL) serves boys and girls ages 6 through 16 for baseball, 5 through 16 for softball and 5 – 18 for the Challenger Program, in Cumberland, Rhode Island.

CYBSL is structured into the following divisions:

Baseball League:

• CYBSL Baseball Division:  Our division is comprised of one league and consists of a Minor and Major Division serving players from 8 to 12 years old. 

• CYBSL Junior and Senior Divisions: Our Junior division serves players from 13 to 14 years old, and our Senior division serves players 15-16 years old.

Softball League:

• CYBSL Softball Division:  Our softball division operates under one league and consists of a Minor & Major division, serving softball players 8-12 years old.

• CYBSL Junior and Senior Softball Divisions: Our Junior division serves players from 13 to 14 years old, and our Little League Senior division serves players 15-16 years old.

Instructional & Farm Leagues (Baseball and Softball):

• CYBSL Instructional Division:  Instructional programs are offered to players 6 and 7 years old for baseball and 5-7 years old in softball.

  • If your child is not old enough to join the CYBSL family yet for our instructional program, we encourage you to look at the tee-ball program offered by the Boys and Girls Club of Cumberland Lincoln.  Information regarding their program can be found at bgccl.org.

• CYBSL Farm Division:  Farm programs serve players 7-9 years old for both baseball and softball.

Challenger League:

• CYBSL Challenger Division:   Our Challenge division is offered to players 5-18 years of age with physical or mental disabilities.
